This recommended practice provides a means for comparing the payload capabilities of different launch vehicles. It defines initial and final stage information, such as launch-point latitude, final-orbit altitude, and inclination for point to point comparison of the performance of launch vehicles. A chart, describing the performance characteristics of a launch vehicle, is included.
