1.1This specification establishes the minimum requirements for a Continued Operational Safety (COS) program for manufacturer's of light sport aircraft and light sport aircraft kits.

1.2This specification applies to aircraft seeking civil aviation authority approval, in the form of flight certificates, flight permits, or other like documentation.

1.3Units-The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
