This technical report describes different approaches to deliver synchronization for end applications within packet networks. The most important application that is synchronization dependant is DSn circuit emulation. Circuit emulation has been defined for ATM networks and is currently being defined for IP networks. This document also covers xDSL networks, which may us both IP and ATM.
