BS 2G 215-2:1989+A1:2016 specifies the designrequirements and tests for the crimping ofnon-insulated terminations, of nickel-chromium ornickel-aluminium alloy, to the standard flexibleconductors of nickel-chromium or nickel-aluminiumthermo-couple extension cables, respectively, insuch a manner that the thermoelectric integrity andconstancy of resistance of a thermocouple circuit arecontained within specified limits.Although the metallic materials used in the crimpedjoint will be the same for all groups, the limitingtemperature of use of the crimped joint is defined bythe insulation of the cable and will fall within one ofthe following groups: 105 °C, 150 °C, 200 °Cand 260 °C.Design requirements and test for the crimping of non-insulated terminations.
