IEST RP-CC032.1 provides guidance for the selection of flexible packaging materials for use with products manufactured or processed in cleanrooms and other controlled environments. The RP covers acceptable materials, seals, material properties, compatibility of packaged product environment, and related topics. A useful table helps narrow the flexible packaging choices based on the product protection requirements. Test methods for particle release, biological tests, organic and inorganic extractable matter, and nonvolatile residue also are presented.
