The purpose of this Recommended Practice (RP) is to present guidelines and recommendations for different aspects to be considered when determining whether or how to perform vibration or shock tests using multiple exciters. This RP is not intended to provide a specification for a specific purchase. Rather it is a focused treatise on how the selection of exciters, fixtures, transducers, bearings, and controllers can all contribute to the successful performance of a multiple-shaker vibration test.
