SAE AMS5685L

This specification has been declared “CANCELLED” by the Aerospace Materials Division, SAE, as of August, 2007 and has been superseded by AS5685. The requirements of the latest issue of AS5685 shall be fulfilled whenever reference is made to the cancelled AMS 5685K. By this action, this document will remain listed in the Numerical Section of the Index of Aerospace Material Specifications indicating that it has been “CANCELLED”.

This specification covers a corrosion-resistant steel in the form of wire.

This product has typically been used for safety wire, but usage is not limited to such application.
