Specifies requirements and tests for contactors, whose main contacts are intended to be connected to circuits, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c. Applies to contactors associated with overload or short-circuit protective devices, starters associated with short-circuit and integrated overload protective devices and contactors and starters with their own short-circuit protective devices.
