AS IEC 60034.5:2023 identically adopts IEC 60034-5:2020, which defines requirements for protective enclosures of rotating electrical machines including protection of persons against live or moving parts inside the enclosure and protection of the machine against ingress of solid foreign objects, water and dust. It gives designations for these protective degrees and tests to perform to meet the requirements of this document.
