This standard describes chlorinated lime, calcium hypochlorite, and sodium hypochlorite for use in the treatment of municipal and industrial water supplies. Major revisions to this standard include:

• Table F1 (Sec. I.A) has been expanded
• Language on the calculation of available chlorine and the weight percent of sodium hypochlorite has been added (Sec. II.B and C)
• New language about bromate in sodium hypochlorite has been addad (Sec. II.D)
• Sec 4.1.4 on the calculation of available chlorine has been expanded
