IEEE C37.108-2002

To revise and update the Guide for the Protection of Network transformers, ANSI C37.108-1989. This guide will be revised to aid relay protection engineers, vendors, and utility customers to address the use of network transformers protection by independent power producers. Additionally, the guide will be revised to introduce new transformer protection and techniques that may include the computer type relays, fiber optics, ultra-violet detectors, and current limiting protection devices. Revision Standard - Superseded. Guidelines for the application of network protectors are established. The use of network transformers and protectors with distributed resources is addressed.
