This test method specifies procedures to evaluate cathodic disbondment resistance of steel structure coating systems under cathodic protection, i.e., buried or submerged pipelines and tank linings. It describes an accelerated test procedure for determining comparative resistance to cathodic disbondment of protective coating systems. It includes figures that detail typical laboratory and equipment set ups, illustrations on how to evaluate the results, and a sample test report. This standard is maintained by Task Group (TG) 470.
