NACE TM0499-2009

This standard describes procedures for performing immersion corrosion tests for evaluation of ceramic materials. It is applicable to laboratory, field, or in-plant use for the evaluation of a wide variety of ceramic materials. The test procedures described in this standard include preparation of test specimens, test apparatus, test exposure conditions, test specimen evaluation after exposure, calculation of corrosion rates, and reporting of test results.
